German tuner Irmscher has decided to give the Opel Zafira minivan some extra pizazz with a special exterior upgrade package. It dubs its creation the Black Phantom 2.0 and will produce just 100 units.

Immediately distinguishing Irmscher’s creation from a standard Zafira is the matte black paint adorning the bodywork. The tuner hasn’t mentioned if this is paint or a wrap but it certainly gives the Opel a more dramatic and stealthier look. Contrasting the black paint are a host of gold accents applied across the front bumper, the grille, and running along both sides. Customers who don’t like the gold accents can choose to have them finished in red.

We can’t imagine all that many Zafira owners install aftermarket wheels on their vans but Irmscher has done just that, fitting its 20×8.5-inch Hydra Star wheels finished in the same shade of black as the bodywork. The tuner says these wheels and the new tires help the van “drive like it’s on rails,” although we’re not convinced that’s possible in a van of this size. The wheels do look nice, however.

Other changes made to the MPV include the fitment of a new front lip and revised side skirts that are a little sportier than the standard units. The tuner has also tweaked the van’s rear apron.

This is not the first time that Irmscher has worked on the Opel Zafira. Back in July 2020, it released a comprehensive suite of upgrades for the minivan. These included various new add-ons to the bodywork, including revised front and rear aprons, new side skirts, and distinctive 20-inch wheels. The tuner had also been offering a series of interior upgrades, including a pull-out stove and sink, wooden drawers, various new storage cubbies, and even a set of camp chairs.
