Chelsea Truck Company, owned by Kahn Automobiles, is widely known for their bold SUV customizations. Of all the models they’ve ever made, their ‘Prototype X’ Land Rover Defender 90 is among the boldest, and they’re offering it up for sale.

The modified Defender was created as a way to display the full force of Chelsea Truck Co.’s customization abilities. They outfitted the Defender with a comprehensive wide body kit, which alters everything from the bumpers all the way down to the headlights.

The most notable part of the kit has to be the widened fenders that start as box flares, and then sprout more conventional circular wheel wells as they go further down. The front end has been transformed with a new bumper, which, in addition to its revised design and extended length, features a grille mask that narrows the headlights for a more aggressive look.

Complementing the bumper is a double-vented carbon fiber hood, which is mirrored by a double-pod LED light bar just above the windshield and a double-finned roof spoiler. Despite its lowered stance, the Defender curiously wears knobby all-terrain tires on its 22-inch forged wheels, though we can’t deny the beefiness of the design. Combine it with the all the new visual touches squaring off the already boxy design, and this Defender really nails the bank-vault-on-wheels look, especially with its satin black paint.

The vehicle is based on a Defender 90 P400 X-Dynamic, meaning it sports a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six making 395 hp (400 PS / 295 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm). That’s plenty of power to get the SUV going, but for a price of £105,000 ($129,937), we really wish it came with the 5.0L supercharged V8.

Despite this, it’s still a cool-looking SUV, and Kahn Automobiles CEO Afzal Khan seems to think so as well, saying: “Chelsea Truck Company is known for the innovative styling we bring to Defenders past and present. With this vehicle, we are showing our more experimental side by including some of our newest works in progress. As a true 1 of 1 prototype, it will be of interest to collectors and enthusiasts and, at £105,000, represents superb value.”
