There’s something about the supercar shape and the cartoonish proportions of the Lancia Stratos that make it irresistible to enthusiasts. And you may not have to resist it much longer, because an impressive replica of the legendary rally car is up for sale.
Although not an original, this is a high-quality replica made by Lister Bell STR, which kind of makes it more fun. Considered one of the finest on the market, it is powered by a new old stock Alfa Romeo Busso V6 that was installed just 1,200 miles (1,931 km) ago, making it pretty fresh indeed.
Unfortunately, overall mileage for the vehicle is technically unknown, because the Fiat 124-sourced odometer wasn’t at zero when it was installed. However, the owner states that it had 70,862 miles (114,041 km) when it went into the car, and now it has 73,100 (117,643 km).

All of which is to say that it’s in pretty good condition, despite a few chips in the paint, some cracks in the gel coat, and a disconnected tachometer. Oh, and the air conditioning doesn’t work, but that just makes this a more authentic replica of the original car.
Otherwise, this has everything you could want from a Stratos. Obviously, it looks the part with its rally lights and its 15-inch Compomotive coffin-spoke wheels. It should also be pretty fun thanks to Gaz adjustable coilovers, a space-frame chassis with integral roll cage for added rigidity, and a five-speed manual transmission.
It even has some modern tech, like a Garmin navigation system and wireless rearview camera, which I imagine would be pretty helpful additions. Better still, they don’t ruin the classic style of the interior. With Alcantara seats, a Nardi shift knob, four-point harnesses, and Wilwood pedals, you should feel like a rally driver every time you climb into this Stratos. Best of all, since it was assembled in Michigan, it’s street-legal.
Offered for sale on Cars and Bids, the auction is set to end on November 30, at 1:30 p.m. EST.
