McLaren is celebrating its motorsport success with the launch of a limited-run 750S known as the 3-7-59 Theme, dubbed the “most intensive project ever done by McLaren Special Operations.”
The special version of the 750S celebrates the company’s motorsport ‘Triple Crown’ with wins at the Indy 500, the Monaco Grand Prix, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Just six examples are bound for the hands of customers and each has an extraordinarily complex livery hand-painted by McLaren Special Operations. The car was unveiled by McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris, McLaren IndyCar driver Pato O’Ward, and former McLaren F1 driver Derek Bell.
Each of the six cars being built takes 1,200 hours to paint and will have unique variations of the 3-7-59 Theme displayed in these photos. The name refers to the ‘3’ race number of the M16D driven by Johnny Rutherford at the 1974 Indy 500, the ‘7’ number is from Alain Prost’s Monaco Grand Prix-winning 1984 McLaren MP4/2, and the ‘59’ is from the McLaren F1 GTR that claimed victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995 while driven by Yannick Dalmas, Nasanori Sekiya, and JJ Lehto.

Visible at the front end of the special 750S, available in both Coupe and Spider forms, is a red and white theme inspired by the MP4/2 and complete with the number ‘7’. The grey on both sides of the car then serves as a homage to the F1 GTR which won Le Mans while the rear is painted in orange and blue to match the Indy 500 winner. MSO has also incorporated a bunch of Easter eggs into the paint that references each of the three race cars, including three QR codes linked to an online portal detailing the car. There is even an electrochromic MSO logo within the brake light mounted on the underside of the airbrake.
McLaren has also equipped the special 750S 3-7-59 Theme with Satin Black wheels sitting over alternating brake calipers finished in blue, red, and Le Mans gold. Rounding out the special touches are a handful of accents bathed in silver leaf, including the lower parts of the doors.
Found inside the cabin of each example is an orange Triple Crown logo stitched into the headrests and debossed on the center armrest. The cabin also includes graphite Alcantara, white contrast stitching, carbon fiber racing seats, and hand-painted shift paddles. MSO has also crafted custom pedals for the car, added carbon fiber doorsills, and fitted a plaque celebrating its racing success.
“As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of McLaren being founded, we of course reflect on our legacy of pushing boundaries, both in motorsport and more recently in supercar and hypercar excellence,” McLaren Automotive chief executive Michael Leiters said. “The 3-7-59 Theme takes inspiration from both of these areas, as a showcase of extreme performance that pays tribute to our Triple Crown success. The most challenging project ever delivered by McLaren Special Operations is a truly stunning expression of McLaren’s industry-leading paint expertise, on a supercar that sets a new benchmark in its class.”
