Apart from the castles and the crowns, the bodyguards and butlers, royals are just like the rest of us. It seems they, too, love ludicrously fast wagons like the Audi RS6 seen here, which was once owned by the UK’s Prince Harry, and is now up for sale.
The son of King Charles and fifth in line to the throne took on the Avant in 2017 while he was dating Meghan Markle, and moved it on a year later after the pair got married. A quick Google search reveals plenty of pics of the carrot-topped former marine with the car, which he is believed to have ordered with £11k ($14k) of extras including a panoramic roof and Night Vision Assist.
Being uber-stealthy is the RS6’s USP, and although Harry has since aired all his dirty laundry in public via a book and talk show appearances, he obviously wanted to fly as under the radar as possible before his marriage, judging by his choice of Daytona Grey paint and an equally muted interior. We’ve certainly seen flashier RS6s around, but Harry’s combo looks great and still appears in excellent condition on the surface. It’s even covered by a full Audi warranty until 2025, so you don’t have to worry whether the stuff under the skin isn’t quite so perfect, and the P Zero tires have covered just 500 miles (800 km).

This is actually the second time we’ve reported on this RS6 hitting the market. Back in August 2018, it was offered on Autotrader for £71,900 ($94,300 at the time) with 4,464 miles (7,184 km) on the odo, but five years on there have been some dramatic changes in the price and mileage. The 552 hp (560 PS) bi-turbo V8 has now done 68,000 miles (109,000 km) and is advertised on Pistonheads for £42,000 ($52,000).
We can’t imagine anyone wanting to pay a premium right now for one of Prince Harry’s old cars; it’s just an interesting talking point and one that will help the car stand out in the future when the next owner needs to move it along. But 30 or 40 years from now it could be a very different story. Admittedly Prince Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana, is a far more famous character than her son, and probably always will be, but buying Harry’s RS6 now for $52k could be a smart investment when you remember that last year someone paid an insane $810k (£650k) plus fees for Diana’s Ford Escort RS Turbo.
