The second-generation Acura / Honda NSX may not have excited enthusiasts as much as the car manufacturer had hoped but for many, it remains a highly desirable piece of unobtanium and has inspired a particularly intriguing replica currently up for sale in Indonesia.

We recently came across this NSX wannabe while perusing through Facebook Marketplace and it’s actually quite impressive. The listing is shy on details but mentions it is based around a 2005 Honda Accord but when viewed from the outside, you’d have no idea about what it started out life as. In fact, you could be excused for thinking it was originally a two-door sports car, like a Toyota MR-2.

In turning the Accord into an NSX replica, every piece of bodywork appears to have been changed. The front of the car is rocking large air intakes and headlights similar to those of a legitimate NSX, albeit slightly larger. It is also sitting on a set of attractive black aftermarket wheels and extensive work has also been done to the sides of the car. It’s unclear if it started out life as a four-door Accord or a two-door but either way, the NSX conversion has necessitated changes to the roof and the rear window.

Someone, Somehow, Turned A Honda Accord Into An NSX Replica

Found at the rear of the car are lobster-claw-shaped taillights similar to those of the real thing, a faux LED light bar, a diffuser, and new grilles with black mesh.

The car is currently located in Jakarta and appears to have been built by a shop with quite a bit of experience building exotic replicas. In fact, visible in the background of some photos are a Lamborghini Gallardo replica as well as unfinished replicas of a Lamborghini Aventador and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The car has an asking price of 350,000,000 Indonesian Rupiah or the equivalent of $19,740 in the U.S.
