Tesla fans willing to pay $150 for two Cybertruck-inspired beers and a pair of mugs to drink them out of are starting to receive deliveries. That means that the first reviews of the beer are finally coming in, and they’re mixed, at best, with some complaining that it tastes pretty bad.

Tesla describes the “CyberBeer” as a Helles Lager with “notes of herb and spice and more notable aromas of tea and citrus.” Meanwhile, on Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, user @briandstone__ had a less floral description for the beer’s tasting notes, describing it as “hot garbage” and “nasty.”

However, as we all know, the real allure of the product is the specially shaped bottle sleeve, that is inspired by the angular design of the Cybertruck. Brian Stone had some comments there, too, saying that his bottle had been delivered with a rusty lid.

And he wasn’t alone, X user @jeremyjudkins_ described the beer as feeling “like something I’m gonna get alcohol poisoning from.” Two pretty bad review for the beer brewed by California’s Buzzrock Brewing Co.

No matter how funny it is that Elon Musk’s silly product is being roasted on his silly website, not all of the reviews were bad. A number of the people showing off their CyberBeer sets on X say that the beer tastes fine, with some even calling it “pretty good.”

Regardless, it’s likely that a number of the people who bought the CyberBeer (which is now sold out) will never taste it. Despite telling Business Insider that the beer was subpar, Judkins said that he presumes most people will keep it as a collector’s item.

Some are already treating it as such. X user @BrianX2023 wrote that he was “trading CyberBeer Limited Edition for Cybertruck Deliver Event Plus +1.” Others are being more normal about it, saying they’ll drink it once their new truck is delivered. That may mean that it takes up real estate in their fridge for an awfully long time.
