The Honda S2000 is a true automotive great and not only one of the finest sports cars produced by Honda but also one of the very best to ever come out of Japan. While it is just about perfect as it is, the owner of a 2003 example thought it would be a good idea to ditch the standard four-cylinder engine and replace it with a 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated LS3 V8. The car is now up for sale.
Import Muscle was responsible for the build and specializes in LS engine swaps for the S2000. In addition to equipping the car with an LS3 out of a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, the shop also installed a BTR Stage 2 camshaft and has coupled the engine to a Tick Performance Stage 3 T-56 six-speed manual transmission that powers the rear wheels.

Plenty of other mechanical changes have been made to the S2K. For example, it features an aftermarket clutch and flywheel kit, a DSS aluminum driveshaft, DSS rear axle upgrades, and a set of Ohlins coilovers that should transform the way the little Honda handles. Complementing the new engine is a beefed-up braking system with StopTech rotors and Project Mu brake pads. An Invidia N1 exhaust also promises to significantly improve the way the car sounds.
When viewed from the outside, the car looks almost completely stock, except for the Wedsport TC105X wheels wrapped in 245/40 tires. One photo uploaded to Facebook of the car shows that it has some nasty damage on the rear bumper and one of the rear quarter panels. We can also see that the car has been fitted with taillights from an AP2-generation S2000.
What about power? Well, whereas an original S2000 sold in the U.S. churns out 237 hp from its 2.2-liter four-cylinder, this car is good for a monumental 492 hp and 466 lb-ft (632 Nm) of torque at the rear wheels. The price for all this V8 goodness? $30,000.
