Hennessey is no stranger to taking some of America’s most popular pickup trucks and significantly increasing their performance. For its latest project, it developed a package for both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, and while not as insane as the 6×6 kits it sells for trucks like the Ram 1500 TRX and Ford F-150 Raptor, the upgrades are still noteworthy.

The kit, known as the Goliath 650, is offered for the 6.2-liter L87 EcoTec3 V8 found in both the Silverado and Sierra. The Texas tuner starts by bolting a 3.0-liter supercharger to the V8 before supplementing it with a high-flow intake system, high-flow intercooler, and a crankcase ventilation system.

Hennessey has then fitted chromoly pushrods, tweaked the engine software, and installed a stainless steel cat-back exhaust that retains the original tips. The changes lift grunt to 650 horses and 658 lb-ft (892 NM) of torque.

The engine and exhaust upgrades are available for the Silverado RST, Trail Boss, LTZ, ZR2, and High Country models alongside the GMC Sierra AT4 and Denali Ultimate. Those who own a Sierra AT4 can also opt to have their truck equipped with a distinctive off-road package.

This package adds a custom steel front bumper with laser-etched ‘Goliath’ lettering, an LED lightbar, additional LED driving lights, 20-inch Hennessey wheels with 35-inch off-road tires, and a suspension lift.

“GM offers its naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 in a range of very capable pickup trucks begging for forced induction,” John Hennessey said in a press release. “We bolt on a big supercharger to pull an extra 230 horsepower and nearly 200 additional lb-ft of torque out of the engine and then back it with a warranty for peace of mind. Our GOLIATH package is ideal for those seeking more power than the factory is willing to offer, whether on-road, off-road, or towing.”

Pricing details have not yet been released but, like all other upgrades sold by Hennessey, the Goliath 650 package is backed by a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty.
