Cuban-born car collector and self-proclaimed “mattress mogul” Michael Fux owns a dizzying array of exotics and at Mecum’s Kissimmee auction next month, he will part ways with two special, limited-edition 911 Turbo S models.
The two cars are both 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series models with one being a Coupe and the other being a Cabriolet. Porsche introduced the Exclusive Series as a farewell to the 991-generation 911, initially limiting it to just 500 Coupes before it commissioned 500 Cabriolets to be built. All examples are bathed in the same shade of Golden Yellow Metallic and the mileage on both of Fux’s cars is very low.
The multimillionaire businessman’s Exclusive Series Coupe has been driven just 109 miles (175 km) since new and looks as good as it did when it first left the factory. The gorgeous golden paintwork is complemented by black and gold wheels alongside carbon fiber racing stripes. It also features the rear apron and rear spoiler from the Turbo’s available ‘Aerokit’.
Found in the cabin is black leather accented by Golden Yellow stripes and contrast stitching. There are also plenty of carbon fiber pieces scattered throughout the interior. Power comes from a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder with 599 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm), making this the most powerful 911 Turbo S at the time of its introduction.

Fux’s 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series Cabriolet has the same spec as his Coupe but to us, the droptop is just a little more special thanks to the open-air driving experience it offers. It has been driven 355 miles (571 km) and while that’s more than the Coupe, it’s nothing in the grand scheme of things, meaning the next owner will be able to enjoy it for many decades to come.
