Dodge’s new Christmas commercial held a little surprise for Charger fans as the next generation of the muscle car made its debut in production trim an official teaser, closely resembling the earlier concept.
The muscle car retains the overall silhouette of the 2022 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept but appears, in the render at least, with a few toned-down features. The most notable change is the circular headlights, which have a more old-school look compared to the concept’s slimmer LEDs. Other differences include the redesigned front bumper, conventional door handles, and larger mirror caps.
The official sketch appears inside a “Santa’s Naughty List” book, with the narrator stating: “Face it, Santa’s nice list isn’t where you want to be this holiday. Why? Because landing on the naughty list is way more fun. And the best way to get there is behind the wheel of a Dodge muscle car.”

The next pages of the book are less intriguing, as they only showcase the outgoing Challenger, Charger, and Durango models. Nevertheless, the small numbers beneath the teaser sketch reveal that the production-spec version of the new model will be available in late 2024.
EV And ICE Options?
According to the latest insider sources, the Dodge Charger lineup will include a trio of fully electric options, including an entry-level single-motor RWD version producing 402 hp (300 kW / 408 PS), a mid-range dual-motor AWD version with 670 hp (500 kW / 680 PS), and a flagship trim with a monstrous 885 hp (660 kW / 897 PS) from an undisclosed number of electric motors.
As for the much-talked-about ICE-powered version, which Dodge refuses to confirm, it remains a possibility. Leaked photos of a hard shell prototype revealed some form of a transmission tunnel, with a supplier source recently mentioning the presence of an inline-six Hurricane engine under the hood. The twin-turbo 3.0-liter powertrain currently delivers either 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) or 510 hp (380 kW / 517 PS) in the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs.
Considering its officially confirmed late 2024 availability, the next generation of the Dodge Charger could make its debut soon, providing answers to all our questions. Until then, you’ll have to make do with the Christmas-themed sketch and compare it with photos of the concept below
