Police in Excelsior Springs, Missouri have likely chased suspects in all sorts of different vehicles, but this is something they might never forget. On November 23rd, a person towing an entire house was driving down the road in a manner that seemed unsafe. When officers attempted to pull him over he decided to see if he could make a break for it. Somehow, it didn’t work out.
Sargent Craven with the Excelsior Springs Police Department narrates a new video showing clips of the incident. In it, he says that the truck pulling this house was going about 30 mph (48 km/h) and weaving all across the road. Officers attempting to stop him surrounded the truck and house but the driver kept going.

One policeman attempted to use a spike strip but failed to deploy it in time. Eventually, the driver brought the whole ordeal to a conclusion himself when he wrecked the truck and trailer. Video footage shows him making a left-hand turn too tightly and dragging the domicile through a ditch. Surprisingly, the house doesn’t break apart as much as one might expect.
Nevertheless, the authorities arrested the man and took him to jail. The department says that it’s “keeping Excelsior safe… one trailer at a time.” We doubt any other PD in the nation can say that and mean it the same way. Officers didn’t release any details on who the suspect was or what charges they were facing. Is Grand Theft House a thing?
