The three-wheeled Slingshot motorcycle from Polaris remains one of the more intriguing vehicles on sale in the U.S. and has just received some updates for the 2024 model year. While the upgrades are not transformative, they do promise to make it stand out even further and should also make it more comfortable and easier to live with.
The changes start with the exterior, where the Slingshot is now offered with a handful of new colors, including Radar Blue Fade, Gold Rush, and Purple Lightning. Additionally, the SL and SLR variants can be configured with special graphics packages. At the same time, the SL also now comes standard with updated wheels finished in a shade of Midnight Charcoal Metallic.
Elsewhere, Polaris has incorporated a new 200-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system into the three-wheeler that includes dash tweeters designed to amplify the sound of the Slingshot’s wind deflector. Buyers can also order the 2024 model with a special canvas top available in black, gray, and red. A pair of smoked polycarbonate rear panels are also offered as are other accessories like a vented sport hood, a different front grille, and both heated and ventilated seats.
All 2024 Slingshot models continue to be powered by the same 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder as last year’s model, capable of producing 203 hp at 8,250 rpm and 144 lb-ft (195 Nm) of torque at 6,500 rpm. The three-wheeler can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in an impressive 4.9 seconds and can be ordered with either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic.
