The Dubai Police better step up their game as Italy’s Polizia di Stato has taken delivery of a special Lamborghini Urus Performante. The model will hit the road next year and be used for “special services including the urgent medical transport of organs and plasma.”

Given its unique purpose, this isn’t your run-of-the-mill model. Quite the opposite as it sports an eye-catching livery designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile. It combines the traditional blue and white used by the Italian State Police with tricolor bands and reflective police logos.

Besides the special livery, the Urus has been outfitted with a slender LED light bar that provides 360° of coverage. The crossover has also been outfitted with a two-tone siren.

The upgrades continue in the cabin as there’s special switchgear, an armored weapons box, and a “flip-down message display.” The model also sports a unique cargo compartment, which houses a defibrillator and a portable fridge for transporting organs.

Under the hood, there’s a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing 657 hp (490 kW / 666 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. It enables the all-wheel drive crossover to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h).

The Urus Performante is the sixth Lamborghini to enter service with the Italian Highway Police and 2024 will mark the 20th anniversary of the collaboration. Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann noted the partnership has been a “great pleasure” as “knowing that our cars are used for public duties and, above all, for crucial operations to save human lives, can only make me and the whole company proud.”
