VinFast will unveil the entry-level VF 3 SUV at January’s CES 2024 event in Las Vegas, together with a new concept.
The Vietnamese manufacturer has so far failed to successfully crack into the U.S. market, with slow sales and a multitude of issues but still believes the VF 3 has the potential to be a strong seller. VinFast recently revealed that U.S. dealers have expressed plenty of interest in the VF 3, in part because it could hit the market for less than $20,000 and that’s before the $7,500 EV tax credit when leased.

CES will be the first time that Americans can see the VF 3 in the flesh. It is just 122.5 inches (3,114 mm) long and while it only has two doors, it claims it has enough interior space for five occupants. Technical specifications remain unknown but the compact footprint and impressively affordable pricing target probably means it will have a small battery pack and just a single electric motor.
VinFast has not provided any information about “its latest electric vehicle concept” that will also be present at the event. What it did say is that joining the concept and the VF 3 will be the full-size VF 9 SUV and a range of electric bikes the company refers to as its ‘DrgnFly’ models.
“CES is a highly influential consumer technology exhibition in technology and particularly in the EV Industry,” VinFast global deputy chief executive of sales and marketing, Tran Mai Hoa said. “Our presence at CES 2024 affirms our unwavering commitment to shaping the future of sustainable transportation, and we are excited to showcase the groundbreaking innovations that will further propel us towards this ambitious goal.”
