The Chevrolet Silverado HD received styling and performance improvements for 2024, but that hasn’t stopped the company from announcing a handful of changes for 2025.
The big news is the addition of a Trail Boss variant, which is available in LT and LTZ guise. Both come equipped with blacked-out bumpers, trim, and badging. They’re joined by red recovery hooks and Trail Boss bed decals.
The upgrades are more than skin deep as the Trail Boss is outfitted with the Z71 package, which includes an off-road focused suspension with unique shocks. Furthermore, the truck rides on black 20-inch wheels that are shod in meaty all-terrain tires.
Power comes from a familiar 6.6-liter V8 engine that produces 401 hp (299 kW / 407 PS) and 464 lb-ft (628 Nm) of torque. Customers can also get a 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V8 with 470 hp (350 kW / 477 PS) and 975 lb-ft (1,320 Nm) of torque.

Besides the Trail Boss, the Silverado HD gains additional equipment that customers have been asking for. In particular, front and rear park assist is now standard on the ZR2 and optional on the WT, Custom, and LT trims. Luxury truck fans will also find a newly standard adaptive cruise control system on the High Country.
Last but not least, the Silverado HD Custom can be equipped with a new Black-Out package. Customers will also find new 20-inch wheels on the Midnight Edition.
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado HD lineup will arrive at dealerships this summer and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
