Sonja M. Heiniger could be enjoying her retirement by laying back on a beach somewhere and relaxing but instead, she is a frequent participant at track days in Italy and loves driving high-powered sports cars and supercars. Now, this is an epic way to enjoy your twilight years.

The 83-year-old owns an internet services firm in Switzerland and since 2005, has been a frequently participant at Porsche Club races in Zurich since 2005. She is the proud owner of a bright green 991-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS and over the past couple of years, has been filmed pushing it to its limits at famed Italian circuits like Imola and Monza.

Recently, a video of her driving a Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale at Monza was shared to Reddit and has been getting quite a lot of attention. The video was actually filmed in early 2022 and watching a car as valuable and rare as the Gallardo STS being driven like this is a joy.

Whereas we’re sure most of the other 149 Gallardo STS models built sit in garages and are rarely, if ever, taken to a circuit, Heiniger has been driving hers on the track for several years and is clearly comfortable pushing it to its limits, hitting the apexes as Monza and letting the 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 scream.

Of all the Lamborghini Gallardo variants introduced over its ten-year production run, the Super Trofeo Stradale is certainly one of the most desirable. It takes inspiration from the Blancpain Super Trofeo race car and stands out from lesser Gallardo models thanks to the towering rear wing, revised front splitter, and the bright red finish.
