Infiniti introduced the Vision Qe concept last fall and now they’ve announced plans to stage its global auto show debut in Canada.
Set to appear at the 2024 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, the concept previews the brand’s first electric vehicle. It’s possible we could learn more about it as Nissan’s global head of design, Alfonso Albaisa, will be hosting a walkaround.
Regardless, recent reports have suggested the upcoming production model has been delayed in order to “enhance product competitiveness.” As a result, the car is now slated to go into production in Canton, Mississippi in April of 2027.
While that’s a ways off, the Vision Qe concept is a promising glimpse into the future as it sports a stylish “Artistry in Motion” design. Infiniti has been coy on specifics, but the fastback has an angular front end with “digital piano key” lighting units.
Moving further back, there’s soft curves and flowing surfaces. The concept also has a rakish windscreen that flows into a gently sloping roof. They’re joined by a slender rear light bar and wheels that draw inspiration from the “tightly wound coil of an electric motor.”
Infiniti says the concept has an “elegant yet muscular presence,” which hints at the “engaging all-electric drive a future production version will deliver.” The company also noted the concept has a Shadow Blue exterior, which contrasts with “lustrous gold highlights” as well as gold illumination.

Besides the Vision Qe concept, the QX Monograph concept will make its Canadian debut. It previews the redesigned QX80, which will be unveiled later this year as a 2025 model.
Previous spy photos have shown the production model will remain faithful to the concept and sport a bold design with streamlined bodywork as well as flush-mounted door handles. We can also expect a significantly improved interior as well as a new twin-turbo V6 that could produce 450 hp (336 kW / 456 PS).
