If you missed out on getting an allocation for a brand new Koenigsegg, finding a used one is the next best alternative and at RM Sotheby’s upcoming Paris auction, a lovely 2021 Regera will be available.
The Swedish firm first unveiled the Regera in 2015 before showcasing the production variant 12 months later. It is a slightly less track-focused model than the Agera that was sold at the same time and was limited to just 80 examples worldwide. The auction house predicts this example will sell for between €2 million ($2.1 million) and €2.6 million ($2.8 million).

So, what do you get for your money? Well, apart from having the opportunity to own one of just 80 units produced, the winning bidder will receive the keys to a marvel of modern engineering. Found at the heart of the Regera is a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 that produces 1,084 hp and while that’s more than enough power, the marque has supplemented the V8 with three electric motors to result in a combined 1,479 hp.
Making the Regera all the more intriguing is the fact that it does not have a conventional transmission and instead uses a single-speed direct-drive system to transmit power to the ground. The car is so quick that last year it set a 0-400-0 km/h record of 28.81 seconds, beating the record that was briefly held by the Rimac Nevera at 29.94 seconds.
This example is painted in Moon Silver and has a selection of bright blue accents, including across the hood and the brake calipers. It has had just one previous owner and has been driven just 522 km (324 miles). meaning the ferocious V8 is just waiting to be unleashed.
