Nissan has revealed that its wild Hyper Force concept is feasible for the production line and a “dream” project that the company may be able to bring to the market by the end of the decade.
The wild vehicle was unveiled at the recent Tokyo Motor Show and was perhaps the most dramatic of the entire event. Not only does it look dramatically different than the R35-generation GT-R, and all the previous Skyline models to come before it, but it is also powered by an advanced all-electric powertrain with 1,341 hp.
While recently speaking about the concept with Autocar, Nissan program design director Giovanny Arroba noted that “the shapes, proportion and stance aren’t based on pure fantasy,” adding “it’s quite daring but a tangible dream to achieve by the end of the decade.”

According to Arroba, the response to the car has been positive but he revealed that some enthusiasts remain hesitant to the idea of an all-electric supercar, noting there had been “some polarization, some saying no to an EV supercar and saying we should do ICE.”
While Nissan has stopped short of providing absolute confirmation that the Hyper Force concept will see the light of day, company chief executive Makota Uchida told Autocar it would like to build it, as long as customers agree.
“We’re an EV pioneer and this is what we want to do,” he said. “People’s expectations change and they don’t look at vehicles as before and in their needs and lives. We’ll hear from customers what they think about them [the concepts]. This is giving a look at our future plans. All concepts, we’d like to deliver. We need the customers to agree.”
Nissan has kept many key details about the Hyper Force concept under wraps. For example, while we know it is good for 1,341 hp, the firm hasn’t confirmed if it features two or four electric motors. What we do know is that it features an advanced solid-state battery pack and takes some obvious design inspiration from the GT-R. This is particularly apparent at the rear where there are four circular LED taillights and a large rear wing.
