If it ain’t broke (or all that popular), don’t fix it seems to be Toyota’s attitude to the hydrogen-powered Mirai. For 2024, the sedan returns with new badging, more standard safety tech, and a bit of a price bump.
The biggest change is likely probably the standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. It comes with pre-collision and pedestrian detection that are designed to apply the brakes if the car determines that a crash is imminent. It also comes with lane departure warning with steering assist. More appealing to buyers will likely be the full-speed range dynamic cruise control and the lane tracing assist, which allow the car to handle some of the chores of driving.
Elsewhere, the updates are purely aesthetic. For instance, the Elemental Silver exterior paint color is now available across both grades. All models will be equipped with Toyota’s new Beyond Zero blue circle badge, which can also be found on its electric and hybrid vehicles.
Toyota Mirai Pricing
As with the 2023 model year, the lineup opens with the XLE grade this year. Pricing starts at $51,215 (all prices include a $1,025 destination charge), which is a $690 increase over last year. It comes with SofTex-trimmed, heated seats that can adjust in eight directions for the driver (four for the passenger). It also gets dual-zone climate control, auto-leveling LED headlights, a JBL Premium Audio system, wireless charging for your devices, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and more.
The optional Advanced Technology Package adds a panoramic view monitor, front and rear parking assist with automated braking, and digital key compatibility.

Meanwhile, the Mirai Limited starts at $68,180, which is an increase of $1,155 over 2023. On top of all of the XLE’s features, it gets heated and ventilated rear seating, three-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a panoramic moonroof, and advanced parking control.
Once again, the model is offered with six years (or $15,000) worth of complimentary hydrogen, as long you buy the vehicle before March 31, 2024. If you lease the Mirai before then, it comes with $15,000 or three years of free fuel.
