A European company specializing in limited edition bodykits has teased a bold new package it’s developing for the BMW XM, promising to elevate the plug-in hybrid SUV to even greater levels of drama – as if it really needed that extra flair.
While few would argue that the XM requires any visual enhancements to make it more bold, that hasn’t deterred Venuum from pushing the SUV to the next level. Although only a detailed CGI video preview of the kit has been released so far, we can already discern a multitude of changes that are likely to resonate with rappers, oligarchs, and affluent businesspeople looking to make a statement.
Review: The 738-HP BMW XM Label Is Really Something
The alterations for the Rhino package start at the front end where Venuum has designed a new fascia with a unique bumper, a pronounced gloss black splitter, and a distinctive hood. The SUV has also been rendered with flared wheel arches, unique rocker panels and side skirts, and a set of aftermarket wheels.
Significant changes have also been made to the rear of the XM. The most obvious is the larger spoiler stretching out from the roof and the two large lip spoilers attached to the tailgate. Venuum has also designed a bold diffuser for the SUV and added two extra exhausts, meaning it now has six tailpipes. There is also a custom diffuser that complements the rest of the upgrades.
Venuum has not disclosed how many examples of the bodykit it will produce and simply refers to it as a “limited edition.” Regardless of the production quantity, it’s clear that this tuning package won’t come cheap. However, considering the regular XM starts at $160,000 in the U.S., we suspect that most owners have more than enough financial means to indulge in a special bodykit if they so wish.
