Cupra is putting a special spin on the high-performance Formentor VZ5 with two new limited edition models. Each will be limited to just 222 examples as a nod to the anniversary date of the brand, February 22.
The models are distinguished by their special paint colors and their extravagant design cues. The new models are called the Formentor VZ5 Century Bronze Limited and the Enceladus Grey Limited editions — the latter model shares its name with a giant of Greek myth, as well as one of Saturn’s moons.
The Century Bronze limited edition is finished in, you guessed it, Century Bronze Matt paint, and benefits from carbon fiber copper mirror caps, and copper exhaust pipe tips. It also gets 20-inch copper alloy wheels, though black wheels can be chosen instead.

And the upgrades aren’t exclusive to the exterior, the model also gets dark chrome Cupra lettering on the badges and copper logos inside and out. Occupants will be held in place by CUPBucket seats in black, and a stitched black dashboard.
The other special edition model (below) also gets a special paint color called Enceladus Grey Matt. As standard, it comes with 20-inch black alloy wheels, but the copper ones are available as an option. Its mirror covers and exhaust tips are finished in black.
It also gets the CUPBucket seats and the black dashboard, as well as the dark chrome Cupra lettering. Both models will also get a laser engraved unit number on the door panel moldings, which will remind the owner that they’re in a limited edition model.
The Cupra Formentor VZ5 is the highest performance variant in the range, and both special edition models come fully specced out. The name “VZ5” comes from the Spanish for speed (Veloz) and the number of cylinders in the engine (5). And living up to its name, the power unit delivers 385 hp (287 kW/390 PS) and is connected to the wheels via a DSG dual-clutch transmission.
Prices for the limited edition models have not been announced yet.
