In the world of Honda S2000s, the limited-edition Club Racer or ‘CR’ built for the U.S. market is the ultimate version of the iconic Japanese roadster. Just 700 examples were built and whenever one hits the used car market, enthusiasts go wild and that seems to be what’s happening with this particular S2000 CR.

This is a 2008 model that has been driven 45,000 miles (~72,000 km) since new and is currently located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. It is available through Bring a Trailer with a clean Carfax report and at the time of writing, bidding had surpassed $60,000, putting the car roughly on par with a brand-new BMW M2.

The specific S2000 CR is finished in Apex Blue Pearl and retains all of the original CR parts that made it stand out from the regular S2000 variants, including the revised front bumper, large rear wing, and removable black hardtop. It also rides on the original 17-inch five-spoke wheels. Both the paint and the wheels appear to be in good condition and the listing notes the car includes a spare front bumper cover and spare front spoilers.

While original S2000s are now 25 years old, we think the cabin of the car has aged gracefully and this one has been well maintained with few obvious signs of wear on the seats, steering wheel, or door panels. Curiously, the current owner is parting ways with it having only driven the car approximately 50 miles (80 km).

When this thing was new, it had an MSRP of $37,935 but is now worth much more than that. A similar 2008 Honda S2000 CR driven just 6,000 miles was sold for $125,000 in September 2022 and while this one probably won’t sell for that much, we wouldn’t be shocked if bidding approaches the $100,000 mark.
