West Midland Police in the UK are investigating a seven-car crash involving the driver of a white Audi sedan. Authorities arrested the man under suspicion of reckless driving that resulted in the fatal injury of another man. Video from during and just before the accident appears to show the Audi driver moving far faster than surrounding traffic.
The crash happened just before 8:30 pm on Sunday on Soho Road between Stafford and Holliday roads. The video from the scene shows the Audi smash into one car and push it into a third car and into oncoming traffic.
The Audi spins clockwise slightly and the back quarter hits a parked car on the side of the road. That car then slides forward hitting another parked vehicle. Sadly, a person in one of those stationary vehicles died as a result of the crash. A spokesperson told The Sun:
“He had sustained life-threatening injuries and received advanced life support and advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene. Unfortunately, nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.” Everyone else involved in the crash survived.

One dashcam video from just before the accident shows the white Audi as it speeds toward the scene of the crash. It overtakes the dashcam car at high speed and then blitzes past a second car before the accident. A statement from the West Midlands Police encouraged drivers to play it safe in the wake of the wreck:
“‘We urge motorists to prioritize road safety as their actions can make a significant difference in preventing accidents and protecting lives. We also appreciate the support and cooperation of our communities in reporting any instances of dangerous driving.”
It’s also hoping that those who might have been near the accident can provide additional details and/or evidence about how things went down. The 25-year-old driver of the Audi was hurt in the crash but escaped without life-threatening injuries.
