Achieving high speeds safely in performance cars depends on having the right settings and the right driver. Sometimes, it’s possible to overcome a shortcoming in one of those areas, but it’s rare. In the case of the video below, the performance cars did not benefit from proper settings nor did they have the right drivers, resulting in both ending up crashing.
This race appears to take place in Ecuador based on the poster behind the cars. In the video, we see a person conducting a street race between a BMW and a Mercedes. It’s hard to tell for sure which models these are, but unless we’re hugely mistaken (in which case, feel free to call us out in the comments), it looks like the Bimmer is an F22-generation M235i, possibly tuned, and the Benz a C63 AMG Coupe.
The drivers are certainly about to engage in some sporty behavior when the video starts. They rev their engines, they take off down the road, and things go south quickly.

Within just a few car lengths, it’s clear that the Mercedes is struggling to maintain traction. Meanwhile, the BMW is beginning to pull away, and both vehicles are approaching a third car driving in the far-right lane. As the Mercedes driver jerks the wheel, it becomes evident that the car is overpowering his skill level. This results in the Mercedes rear-ending the BMW, sending it crashing into the parked cars on the road.

It appears that the Mercedes follows suit and smacks into several different cars. In their bid to outdo each other, both drivers seem to have lost. If anyone emerged victorious from this race, it must be the driver who skillfully avoided the crash as both cars sped by on the left.
