Fiat has embraced ‘product drops’ and they’re looking to capitalize on the move with two new special editions. Both are based on the 500e and they’re known as the “Inspired By Beauty” and “Inspired By Music.”

Starting with the former, the 500e Inspired By Beauty has a glistening Rose Gold exterior. The model also sports beige eco-leather seats as well as an eco-leather wrapped dashboard.

The 500e Inspired By Music is similar, but it wears a Tuxedo Black suit and has a seven-speaker JBL premium audio system. The latter has a Virtual Venues feature, which can replicate “four venues hand-selected by Maestro [Andrea] Bocelli.” Among them are an Open-Air Arena and the Giuseppe Verdi Opera House.

While there isn’t much that separates the two special editions, both come equipped with LED lighting units, rain-sensing wipers, and 17-inch alloy wheels with a diamond-cut finish. Buyers will also find a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Rounding out the highlights are an automatic climate control system and a wireless smartphone charger.

On the safety front, the models have a Level 2 semi-autonomous driving system that combines adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist. Fiat also said the cars have automatic emergency braking and pedestrian alert.

Power comes from a 42 kWh battery that feeds an electric motor developing 117 hp (87 kW / 119 PS) and 162 lb-ft (219 Nm) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 8.5 seconds, hit an estimated top speed of 94 mph (151 km/h), and travel up to 149 miles (240 km) on a single charge.

The battery can be replenished in approximately four hours and 15 minutes with a Level 2 (11 kW) charger. With an 85 kW DC fast charger, the model can go from a 0% to 80% charge in around 35 minutes.

Pricing for both models starts at $36,000, excluding a $1,595 destination fee, bringing the total to $37,595. The special editions are slated to arrive at U.S. dealerships in the third quarter of this year.
