Close your eyes for a few seconds and think of the quintessential Honda performance car. If you’re like us, the NSX may have been the first car to pop into your head, and for good reason. At its launch in 1990, the NSX rewrote the supercar handbook, offering the kind of reliability and dependability that its European rivals couldn’t dream of matching.
It’s no surprise then that used NSX models fetch significant prices today, a testament to their enduring appeal and legendary status.
The NSX you’re looking at is a 1996 Targa model, better known as the NSX-T, that has been listed up for grabs through Cars & Bids. It is painted in Berlina Black with a tan leather interior and is thought to be one of just 49 NSX-Ts built in 1996 with this configuration.

Found at the heart of the first-generation NSX is a 3.0-liter naturally-aspirated V6, good for 270 hp and 210 lb-ft (284 Nm) of torque back in the day. This engine is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels.
But the biggest highlight here is the mileage; this NSX-T has covered just 10,700 miles (~17,200 km), making it the perfect option for someone who couldn’t buy it when it was new but wants to experience it in near-new condition.
However, it’s not just the low mileage that this NSX has going for it. The listing notes the car is completely original and has only received paint protection film on the hood and fenders. The paint looks to be in excellent condition and the interior also looks superb with minimal wear on the leather seats.
With just a few days left in the Cars&Bids auction, bidding on the car was fast approaching the $60,000 mark. While it may seem like a good deal for such a pristine example, history tells us that the final price will likely soar much higher—considerably higher, in fact.
