Now could be the perfect time to buy a new Ford Mustang Mach-E in the United States thanks to VIN-specific discounts of as much as $18,500. Finding a Mach-E with such a generous discount could be difficult, however.

Ford’s all-electric crossover is available with a ‘VIN Specific Bonus Cash’ offer until April 2, worth between $3,100 and $18,500. The only Mustang Mach-E models eligible for this special offer are vehicles that have been used for the Ford Courtesy Transportation Program (FCTP) and demo models.

Models that recently received retroactive price cuts are not eligible. In February, Ford announced that 2023 Mustang Mach-E models built before May 2023 would be priced the same as newer Mach-Es, despite coming standard with a 3-year BlueCruise semi-autonomous driving subscription, and a mobile power cord, features that the newer models miss out on as standard, Cars Direct reports.

In a bulletin sent to dealers, Ford notes that “the incentive amount varies by trim and order date,” so actually finding one with the full $18,500 discount may be a challenge. In all likelihood, higher-priced models probably have a better chance of large discounts as they have historically been the ones to benefit from steeper price cuts over the past 12 months.

Last month, Ford rolled out a host of significant price cuts across the 2023MY line-up of Mustang Mach-E models. Prices of the Select RWD and AWD models were both reduced by $3,100 to $41,695 and $44,695 respectively while the price of the Premium RWD (Std Range) and AWD (Std Range) models were cut by $4,100 to $44,695 and $47,695. More significant $8,100 price reductions were rolled out for Premium RWD (Ext Range), AWD (Ext Range), and California Route 1 AWD models while prices of the GT and GT Performance were slashed by $7,600.
