Bentley teased a new special model by their Mulliner division, which will join models like the Bacalar and the Batur. The grand tourer will make its debut on May 7, and it looks very similar to the Continental-based Batur, albeit without a roof. Production will be limited to 16 units, all powered by the W12 engine in its most potent form.
The “third coachbuilt Bentley of the modern era” appears to be sharing the front bumper, headlights, and taillights with the Batur coupe, which was introduced in 2022. The official video teaser hints at a two-door convertible bodystyle, making us believe it will be based on Continental GTC underpinnings. We can also see the sculpted lines of the rear deck and a ducktail spoiler at the back.

The hand-built nature of the model and the ultra-limited production numbers allow a higher level of personalization compared to the regular Bentley lineup. Each example will be tailored to the exact preferences of the lucky owners, with exclusive exterior and interior trim options. We also expect to find touches of expensive materials, like the 3D-printed 18-carat gold accents which were also optionally available for the Batur coupe.
According to the press release, the new model will be one of the last ever Bentleys to use the W12 engine in its “most potent iteration”. Note that the twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 has already been phased out from regular series-production Bentley models, giving way to electrified powertrains. The most powerful version yet can be found under the hood of the Bentley Mulliner Batur, producing a whopping 740 hp (552 kW / 751 PS) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque.
The 16 units of the new Bentley Mulliner model are likely already spoken for. This very limited production run will make it more exclusive than the Batur (18 units) but less than the Bacalar (12 units). Bentley didn’t announce pricing, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it surpassed the $2 million mark before options.
