- The winners of this year’s Drive for Design contest have been announced and all three high school students created a futuristic Lancia.
- Rohan Seiber came in first place with his Lancia Zero electric sports car concept.
Stellantis has announced the winners of this year’s Drive for Design contest and all three of them have something in common. They all drew a futuristic Lancia, despite the contest being open exclusively to U.S. high school students and primarily geared towards Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat vehicles.
That being said, the project brief asked contestants to design a “future dream vehicle for any Stellantis brand in the year 2040.” Those that ventured outside the mainstream turned out to be the big winners.

Without further ado, 11th grader Rohan Seiber won first place for the Lancia Zero concept. It’s an electric sports car that features a wedge-like design as well as a unique ‘banding’ treatment. We can also see a sporty diffuser and a sizable rear wing that has integrated taillights.
10th grader Ryan Panizzoli came in second place with an apparently unnamed liftback. Little is known about it, but the images suggest the model draws inspiration from Dyson and has a slide out “cooking station.”
Third place went to 10th grader Owen Bronson, who created the Lancia Pugnale. Named after the Italian word for dagger, the model is billed as a modern-day interpretation of the 1970 Stratos Zero concept. It features an edgy design with concave wheels, circular taillights, and a Y-shaped front fascia accent.
Besides winning a moment in the spotlight, all three get an assortment of prizes. Seiber won a Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16 tablet and the opportunity for a summer design internship with the Ram Design Studio.
Panizzoli and Bronson will receive an Apple iPad Pro and Apple Pencil as well as a scholarship to attend the VisCom1 summer program at the College for Creative Studies. They’ll also have the opportunity to talk with the Stellantis Design Team.
