The EV manufacturer hasn’t specified why these are the only models eligible for the discount. The offer is available to residents in the United States and Canada.
In the U.S., the R1T Standard and Standard+ Pack are offered with a $3,000 discount, while in Canada it is CA$4,500. The R1T Large Pack is offered with a $4,000 discount in the U.S. and CA$6,000 in Canada, and the R1T Max Pack is available with the full $5,000 / CA$7,500 discount. Interestingly, the R1S Large Pack is the only SUV eligible for a discount and only gets $1,000 / CA$1,500 off its MSRP.
Shoppers wanting the discount must select and purchase their new vehicle through the Rivian website and provide a $1,000 non-refundable deposit. They must also take delivery of their new vehicle between April 22, 2024, and June 30, 2024. One year of complimentary charging through the Rivian Adventure Network is also sweetening the deal.
