Supercar replicas can be hit-and-miss. Most of the time, these replicas look bizarre and downright ugly but now and then, one comes along that looks just as good as the real thing. This Lamborghini Aventador SVJ knock-off from Thailand is one of them.

In recent years, we’ve seen plenty of very cool replicas emerge out of South East Asia. Supercars in these countries typically cost exorbitant amounts of money and are out of the price range of locals, prompting some enthusiasts to build their own exotics.

In the case of this Lamborghini replica filmed by CB Media, the owner has built it using components from a wide range of affordable and easily accessible vehicles. The front half of the chassis comes from a Toyota Crown while the rear half of the chassis has been lifted from a Honda Accord.

It has also been installed with the VR4 engine of a Mitsubishi 3000GT, supplemented by a turbocharger and coupled to the 3000GT’s original transmission. The car then uses suspension components from a Toyota Hilux while the interior has been lifted from a Honda Civic.

The list of parts taken from other vehicles continues. The brakes have been sourced from a BMW and the steering system comes from an Isuzu D-Max. The doors also come from a little Nissan NX and have been modified to mimic the shape of the Aventador’s doors.

The most impressive aspect of the car is the exterior. All of the body panels have been crafted by hand by a small fabrication shop and they do an excellent job of mimicking the original parts of the Aventador. There is even a large wing like that of the SVJ, flared arches, large air intakes, a pronounced front splitter, and a set of aftermarket wheels.
