- Various individuals filmed a Toyota Camry hitting several cars at what appeared to be a street takeover.
- It’s unclear if the Camry driver was acting in fear or out of anger.
- Participants appear to box the Toyota sedan in just as the video ends.
Sideshows and street takeovers are a serious problem across the nation. They harbor and sometimes incite dangerous behavior. That seems to be the case regarding two new videos circulating on social media showing a Toyota Camry driver hitting several cars as they flee attacking bystanders. The circumstances surrounding the violence are still under investigation and the driver’s condition is unknown.
We haven’t been able to confirm the location where this incident took place, although some commentators claim it occurred in Philadelphia. Regardless, the street is filled with performance cars.

The first video of a pair shows a masked man yelling at occupants in the Camry as it’s stationary. Then the Toyota goes into reverse and appears to back into a second vehicle out of the view of the camera. Immediately, two individuals begin to chase the Camry.
The driver accelerates and actually hits the vehicle carrying the camera person. That’s where the first video cuts off. A second video picks up at about the same time and seems to show the first camera person in a white Nissan Maxima. After bumping the Nissan, the Camry driver clips the tire of a Ram pickup and jumps onto the shoulder.
They pass a few cars but bystanders continue to chase the vehicle and beat on it with their fists. As they find a gap in the traffic they turn back toward the center of the lane and appear to be headed for an open road. At the same moment, the driver of a late-model Camaro slides up into the oncoming lane and blocks the Toyota’s path. The Camry hits the sports car and the camera car speeds away. The last view we get is the Toyota surrounded by people and the Camaro driver entering the fray.
Ultimately, there doesn’t appear to be enough solid information at this point to know the whole story here. The Camry driver might have sincerely been in fear of their life and that can lead people to do extreme things. For all we know, they were simply ignoring the ‘unwritten rules’ of letting sideshow participants do whatever they want. That could’ve turned the crowd against them.
On the other hand, they might have intentionally damaged a car and then tried to flee the scene. As of this writing, the authorities haven’t released any details about the incident.
