• A rather unique Mazda MX-5 is available for sale in Poland.
  • It boasts a wild makeover with Supra headlights, Z4 taillights, and a questionable identity.
  • Intrigued? This Frankensteinian Miata can be yours for just over $4,000.

There are tens of thousands of NA Mazda MX-5s on roads all around the world, but this particular example, up for sale in Poland, is unlike any other Miata we’ve come across. It’s also quite cheap, with an asking price of 15,777 Polish złoty, or just over $4,000.

What makes this 1994 Miata immediately stand out is obviously the front fascia. For some reason, the owner has ditched the original pop-up headlights in favor of a pair of A80 Toyota Supra units. It’s impossible to tell if these are OEM Toyota headlights or were sourced from the aftermarket, but whatever the case may be, they look out of place on the pint-sized body of the Mazda. Each to their own, I suppose.

The changes don’t stop with the headlights. The MX-5 is rocking custom front fenders, and a hood to host the foreign headlights as graciously as possible. The unique modifications continue at the rear where the Mazda has been fitted with the taillights of a BMW Z4. We think these taillights complement the car’s bodywork more than the Supra headlights but even still, they look a little odd.

Plenty is going on in the cabin of the Mazda, too. It is rocking a distinctive black Sparco steering wheel, a new tachometer mounted in the center of the dashboard, and a new shift knob with a red leather boot. Images of the engine bay show that most of it is stock, although it does feature a pod filter. The engine is also in desperate need of a thorough clean with plenty of rust visible.

The custom Miata is powered by a 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine and shows 189,000 km (~117,400 miles) on the clock. If you live in Poland and want to bid on this MX-5, head on over to Otomoto.
