Changes are afoot for the 2025 Cadillac XT4 family and in addition to the entry-level version being dropped, prices are expected to rise as well.
Cadillac currently sells the XT4 in Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport guises. The base Luxury trim will be dropped for 2025 while the Premium Luxury and Sport will be retained. The company hasn’t said why the base trim level has been removed from the range.

As it stands, the current 2024 XT4 starts at $39,090, with prices increasing to $42,690 for the Premium Luxury FWD, $43,190 for the Premium Luxury AWD, $45,190 for the Sport FWD, and $45,690 for the Sport AWD. With the Luxury trim being phased out, prices for the 2025 model year will begin at least $3,600 higher than in 2024. Furthermore, the addition of several new features for 2025 could potentially push the SUV’s starting price even higher
All new Cadillac XT4 models will come standard with the Active Safety Package that was previously an option, Cars Direct says. This package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic speed limit assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and a surround-view camera.
It also adds rear pedestrian alert, traffic sign recognition, improved automatic emergency braking, and intersection assist. Those who purchased a 2024 XT4 with this system had to cough up an extra $1,825.
Cadillac had planned to start production of the XT4 in June 2024. However, GM Authority recently learned that production has been delayed until July 26th.
All 2025 XT4 models are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder delivering 235 hp and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
