- The remains of two Lamborghini Murcielagos are being auctioned on eBay.
- The supercars appear to be well beyond repair, with only a few bits being recognizable.
- The pile of components is located in Germany but can ship worldwide.
Supercar parts are usually quite expensive and hard to source, something that adds value to wrecked examples with salvageable components. What might look like a pile of trash is actually the remains of not one, but two Lamborghini Murcielago units, currently up for sale on eBay
According to the listing, the parts originate from a pre-facelifted LP 580 (yellow) and a more modern LP 640 (white). In both cases, the Lamborghini V12 engines and the gearboxes are still mounted on the chassis, although an unspecified number of parts is missing.

In the photos, it’s evident that the supercars were involved in serious accidents, resulting in irreparable damage to their bodies and chassis. Despite lacking all its body panels, the yellow Murcielago appears to be in better condition than the white model, which has been severed in the middle.
The only parts that retain their original form are the signature five-spoke alloy wheels, the set of suicide doors, and a portion of the dashboard. Additionally, there is a front clip from the white Murcielago, though it has cracked fenders and is missing the bumper, hood, and headlights
The unusual assortment of components is being sold by ‘sportcarsparts-shop’ in Munich, Germany, and is available for worldwide shipping. At the time of writing, with just a few hours left before the auction closes, the highest bid on eBay stands at €10,250, approximately $11,030.
The five-digit bid suggests that someone may see potential for profit. Regardless, the winning bidder will need to invest significant effort to identify and salvage the parts worth saving. Alternatively, the wrecked Murcielagos could be used as an art piece, though it’s doubtful anyone would want such a dismal display in their living room.
Despite being launched all the way back in 2001, the Lamborghini Murcielago remains a pipe dream car for many petrolheads. This flagship model from Sant’Agata in the 2000s was equipped with a V12 engine that produced 572 hp (427 kW / 580 PS) in its original form, 631 hp (471 kW / 640 PS) in the facelifted version, and up to 661 hp (493 kW / 670 PS) in the SuperVeloce.
