- The Engler V12 boasts a massive 1,184 hp engine, making it an incredibly powerful and potentially dangerous vehicle.
- This quad bike boasts a 0-62 mph time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 250 mph, rivaling the performance of high-end sports cars.
- Only 20 Engler V12s will be built, with one reserved by the founder, making it a highly exclusive.
Back in 2019, Engler Automotive shocked the world with its unique vision of automotive performance: a quad bike powered by the 5.2-liter V10 from an Audi R8. Now, they’re upping the ante with an even more dubious impressive concept: a quad bike powered by a V12 engine. And yes, it’s every bit as insane as it sounds.
In a video, company founder Viktor Engler said he was dared to build the Engler V12 by a customer who craved something even more exclusive and bonkers than the first creation. Clearly not one to back down from a challenge, the CEO decided to embrace the bonkers idea.

“In an era dominated by discussions of downsizing, reduced cylinder counts, disappearing engine displacements, and the rise of hybrid vehicles, we’ve chosen to take a different path,” said Engler, who added that his company aims to provide customers with the “unique sound, power, and madness that only a V12 can deliver.”
And madness is the right word. The Engler V12 will weigh 2,645 lbs (1,200 kg) without fluids or a rider, while the engine pumps out an impressive 1,184 hp (883 kW / 1,200 hp) and 885 lb-ft (1,200 Nm) of torque.
Engler has yet to reveal where it’s sourcing the V12 engine from, but has designed its own transmission to go with it. The eight-speed dual-clutch “microbox” weighs just 66 lbs (30 kg), making it the lightest transmission that can handle 1,184 hp on earth, the automaker claims.
As of a month ago, the gearbox was still under development, but once it’s ready, the company estimates that the powertrain will be able to get the Engler V12 up to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds, and onto a top speed of 250 mph (400 km/h).
The Engler V12 features a carbon fiber monocoque and all of the body parts are made out of 3D printed pieces that use a carbon graphite material. The wheels are 20-inches in diameter, wrapped in Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires, and are made of forged magnesium.
Just 20 Engler V12s will be built, but only 19 will be sold, as Viktor Engler plans to save one for himself. The company has yet to reveal how much the vehicle costs, but if you’re crazy enough to want to ride one, price may be the least of your concerns.
