- Toyota has discontinued the four-cylinder GR Supra for the 2025 model year.
- The only option is the 3.0-liter inline-six, mated to either a manual or an automatic gearbox.
- The base and Premium grades are $1,750 more expensive than last year’s models.
Toyota has announced the 2025 GR Supra lineup, featuring a strategic streamlining (or, if you prefer, a ruthless culling) of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder option. We contacted Toyota to understand the reasoning behind this move.
A Toyota spokesperson explained, “To streamline the GR Supra grade strategy and align with customer demand, the 2.0L model will be discontinued for 2025. The addition of the manual transmission in 2023 has shifted demand towards the more powerful 3.0L variants.”
Now, the 3.0-liter six-cylinder now reigns supreme, available with both an automatic and a manual transmission. This simplification of the range comes with a price bump of $1,750.
The lineup of the 2025 Toyota GR Supra is limited to two trim levels: the 3.0 and the 3.0 Premium. The former can be enhanced with the optional Safety & Technology Package, while the latter can be combined with the Driver’s Assist Package.

The 3.0 comes standard with black Alcantara and leather upholstery, power-adjustable sport seats, a 10-speaker audio system, and an 8.8-inch infotainment touchscreen. The 3.0 Premium adds more features, including a 12-speaker JBL audio system, and is available with either black or hazelnut-colored leather
For the exterior, the color palette includes the Absolute Zero (white), Nocturnal (black), and Renaissance Red 2.0 shades, plus the Stratosphere (blue) which is an extra-cost option.
The carry-over BMW-sourced 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine delivers 382 hp (285 kW/387 PS) and 368 lb-ft (498 Nm) of torque. This enables the rear-wheel-drive sports car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in 3.9 seconds with the eight-speed automatic transmission, or 4.2 seconds with the six-speed manual, which is available as a no-cost option.
The chassis setup of the GR Supra was revised for the 2023 model year, including the addition of the manual gearbox, so no changes were needed in this department. Both trims come standard with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and an active rear sport differential. The driver can choose from Normal, Sport, and Individual modes, which adjust the throttle response, suspension, and power steering accordingly.

Pricing has been increased by a flat $1,750 on both trims compared to the 2024 MY equivalents. The figures in the table do not include a Dealer Processing and Handling Fee, which adds an additional $1,095 for the GR Supra 3.0.
