- Independent designer Hycade, created a detailed digital concept of a 2026 Camaro.
- The design retains classic Camaro features but adds a modern, aggressive look.
- The Camaro nameplate could return as an EV in the not-too-distant future.
The Chevrolet Camaro was discontinued last year without a direct successor on the horizon, but the spirit of the muscle car lives on among automotive enthusiasts. While the GM boss recently hinted at a possible return of the nameplate as an EV, independent designer Hycade has created a detailed 3D model of a next-gen Camaro, complete with a combustion engine under the hood.
Hycade is known for modifying existing vehicles with wild body kits and aerodynamic components. This time, however, he went a step further by designing a 2026 Chevrolet Camaro from scratch. This fictional muscle car retains the classic two-door body style of its predecessors but features evolutionary proportions and a familiar greenhouse.

Although the rendering aims to depict the standard Camaro, features like ultra-wide fenders, large bumper intakes, and a muscular stance give it the appearance of a beefed-up performance derivative, poised to compete with the Ford Mustang Dark Horse.
The designer incorporated modern styling cues inspired by Chevy products throughout the vehicle. The sculpted tail, featuring slim LED taillights, stands out as the coolest section, lending it a menacing look. However, the front end could use some refinement; the separation of the grille from the headlights detracts slightly from the Camaro’s distinctive flavor.
The design study doesn’t include information about a possible powertrain. However, the presence of dual tailpipes at the rear and massive cooling intakes at the front show it was envisioned with a combustion engine under the long hood.
Hycade said he’ll continue work on his unofficial Camaro project, with plans to draw a hotter ZL1 version soon. It’s worth noting that last year, the designer created a fictional Shelby GT500 version of the Mustang, which turned out to be even wilder than the flagship Mustang GTD that is offered by Ford.
We hope that future projects will also include the all-new Dodge Charger, which is ready to receive the widebody treatment as exhibited by our own renders.
Note: These independent renderings are off-the-record and unrelated to Chevrolet.
