• Aston Martin will show a new model on June 26, with the caption “the sublime x the ridiculous”.
  • The teaser suggests the new Aston is a derivative of the limited-production Valour.
  • The model will have a manual gearbox, and is expected to retain the V12 under the hood.

While we’re patiently waiting for the debut of the Aston Martin Vanquish with a new twin-turbo V12, the British automaker dropped a teaser for another new model. From the teaser, the yet-unnamed Aston looks pretty similar to the Valour and will be fully revealed on June 26.

The first teaser focused on a carbon fiber piece from the interior of the new model, before zooming in a shadowy shot of the front end. The menacing round LED headlights and the overall silhouette appear identical to the Valour, suggesting that this could be either a track-focused version or a drop-top Volante model possibly bearing a new name. The “sublime x the ridiculous” caption prepares us for something bonkers, while a second teaser confirms that the new Aston will have a manual gearbox, by showing the clutch pedal.

If this is a track-focused Valour, expect to see more aggressive aero components and a revised chassis setup. The model in the teaser doesn’t appear to have a rear wing, although this could have to do with the angle of the shot. On the other hand, a Valour Volante could add the charm of a retractable top into the mix, bringing more cash into Aston Martin’s registers without the need for extensive modifications.

The Aston Martin Valour debuted in July 2023, as a limited-production model with a 705 hp (526 kW / 715 PS) twin-turbo V12 paired with a manual transmission. Despite coming with a reported price tag of between £1-1.5 million ($1.3-1.9 million), the entire 110-unit production run sold out two weeks after its launch, proving that Aston Martin buyers loved what the Valour had to offer.

Chances are that the new model will retain a V12 under the hood, although it could benefit from a power boost. Last May, Aston Martin announced a new twin-turbo V12, producing as much as 824 hp (614 kW / 835 PS). However, the company said the heavily updated mill would be introduced in the new Vanquish, before finding its way in “limited production specials”.

We will learn everything about the new Aston Martin in two days. Until then, we will be updating this story with additional teasers that may pop out on the brand’s social media channels.
