- Dodge Challenger drove past stationary traffic on two wheels before crashing into a Starbucks.
- Stunt was captured on dashcam footage as other vehicles waited at an intersection
- Incident in Walpole, southwest of Boston, MA, left one Starbucks employee injured
We’ve written plenty of stories about Dodge Challengers crashing spectacularly, but here’s one where the pre-crash action is more epic than the final wreck, and that’s saying something considering the Dodge ended up ramming through the front of a Starbucks.
Dashcam footage from another vehicle captures the black Challenger passing a line of cars on the verge, which on its own would raise a few eyebrows. But this Challenger was doing it while driving on two wheels like it was performing a stunt on some 1980s car-based TV drama.

The Dodge rips down the side of Route 1 in Walpole, southwest of Boston, spraying earth in its wake, and runs straight across an intersection. But by pure good luck, it catches a green light on the way, meaning it doesn’t collide with any other cars.
Sadly, the Starbucks further down the road wasn’t so lucky, and neither was one of its employees. The Challenger tore through a fence, smashed up umbrellas and tables on the small patio, and plowed through the front of the coffee shop at around 8 pm, partially demolishing the front of the building.
The incident happened shortly before the Starbucks was about to close, and was presumably quiet. Still, images from the scene reveal how far it came into the store, and how the injury count could have been very different if the accident had happened in the middle of the day when people were sitting on the seats close to the front windows. One employee was hurt and taken to hospital, but fortunately, their injuries weren’t serious.
Police are still investigating the causes of the accident but to no one’s surprise have suggested that speed was a factor. According to the Walpole PD, the car was traveling south on Route 1 when it struck a utility pole as it approached the intersection with Route 27, causing the driver to lose control.
There’s no report of the driver, who wasn’t hurt in the smash, being drunk or high, or of what charges they might face.
