Genesis recently announced plans to stage the “global dynamic debut” of the G80 EV Magma concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the model was recently spied being loaded onto a trailer. While this normally wouldn’t be too interesting, the car isn’t the same as the concept that was shown at the Beijing Auto Show earlier this year.
Besides a bright orange paint job, the latest G80 EV Magma ditches the beadlock-style wheels that were used on the earlier concept. They’ve been replaced by more traditional lightweight wheels that have a dark finish.

Additional changes are limited, but we can see a new “Designed by Genesis” graphic on the rear doors. We also wouldn’t be surprised if the interior has been revamped as the original concept had blue accents to echo its Acme Blue exterior.
Putting the changes aside, the high-performance sedan has an aggressive look thanks to a sportier front bumper and muscular intakes. They’re joined by a stylish rear end that combines a new bumper with an eye-catching diffuser and a ducktail spoiler. Other highlights include widened fenders and 21-inch wheels.

Inside, there’s Alcantara upholstery and quilted leather seats. They’re likely joined by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment system.
Genesis has been coy on performance specifications, but has previously said the G80 EV Magma has an “advanced suspension system” and a lowered ride height. The model also has a wider track and “large ventilated front and rear brakes” that promise to “significantly enhance the vehicle’s capabilities.”
That’s not much to go on, but the standard Electrified G80 has an 87.2 kWh battery pack that feeds a dual-motor all-wheel drive system developing 365 hp (272 kW / 370 PS) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. This setup enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.9 seconds and travel up to 282 miles (454 km) on a single charge.
