The full-size GMC Jimmy went out of production over 30 years ago, but it’s still fondly remembered today. However, its spirit lives on in this cool SEMA build that’s going up for auction next month.
Based on a 2022 GMC Sierra AT4, no expense was spared in converting the pickup into a modern-day Jimmy. The listing doesn’t go into many specifics, but the truck has been transformed into a two-door SUV with a removable roof.

As part of the makeover, the wheelbase was shortened and the 5’8″ bed was transformed into a rear passenger compartment. A roll bar and a power-folding rear seat were added, as well as a removable bed cap.
The model also has a Chalk Gray exterior and features 22-inch Rotiform wheels wrapped in Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. They’re joined by a four-tailpipe exhaust system and a revised suspension that features Fox shocks as well as BDS upper control arms.
Mecum / Flat Out Autos
The listing doesn’t say much, but the Jimmy has heated and ventilated leather seats as well as a MultiPro tailgate. Power is provided by a 5.3-liter V8 engine that presumably develops 355 hp (265 kW / 360 PS) and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission.
While Mecum’s listing is bare bones, this particular model was built by Flat Out Autos. They have additional pictures on their website and it’s definitely worth checking out.
