The Polestar 3 got off to a rocky start, but deliveries are now underway. The first models were handed over to customers during a special ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The lucky owners not only received their crossovers, but a special gift package as well. Additional deliveries are slated to take place in Germany and Norway tomorrow, while Americans in California, Illinois, Indiana, and New York will be among the first to own a Polestar 3.
In related news, Polestar announced a new rear-wheel drive variant known as the 3 Long Range Single Motor. It’s currently available to order in Europe and pricing starts at €79,890 in Germany as well as £69,900 in the United Kingdom.
The entry-level variant will be built in China as well as the United States, with orders opening for North America and Australia later this year. The crossover features a familiar 111 kWh battery pack as well as a rear-mounted motor producing 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS) and 361 lb-ft (490 Nm) of torque.
This setup enables the electric luxury crossover to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7.8 seconds and have a WLTP range of up to 404 miles (650 km). When the battery is low, a 250 kW DC fast charger can take it from a 10-80% charge in as little as 30 minutes.
Polestar also revealed the 2025 3 Long Range Single Motor “benefits from greater customization.” The company didn’t go into many specifics, but implied there will be more color choices and a unique 21-inch wheel design as part of a new Pro Pack.
