• A limited production Challenger Demon 170 collided with a sedan in Brampton, Canada.
  • One of the drivers was taken to a local trauma center with serious injuries.
  • The front end of the Dodge has been destroyed and may not be worth trying to repair.

A Dodge Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 has met its demise in a crash in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. If it were any other vehicle, we’d declare it dead and buried, but given the stratospheric prices these beasts fetch, one might argue it’s merely awaiting resurrection as a parts donor.

The accident happened in late April, but we only recently came across videos showing the aftermath. While there’s no footage that actually shows the moment of the crash, we can see it occurred at the intersection of Windmill Blvd and Tait Blvd, and the Challenger Demon 170 came to a rest on the sidewalk.

It’s understood the Demon 170 collided with a black sedan, although it’s not clear which vehicle was to blame. Nevertheless, footage shared on TikTok by Thetorontohouse.ca shows that at least two wheels of the black sedan were ripped off in the collision and much of its side has been caved in. The damage done to the Challenger is just as devastating.

The front fascia of the muscle car has taken the brunt of the impact. You’ll notice the bumper is missing, one of the headlights is gone, and part of the front crash structure has been crushed. The hood has also been badly bent, and one of the front quarter panels is almost completely torn off. We wouldn’t be surprised if the car’s all-conquering 6.2-liter supercharged V8 also suffered some form of damage in the crash.

It’s reported that one of the drivers involved in the collision was transported to a trauma center with serious injuries, while the other was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Dodge built just 3,300 examples of the Demon 170 as the final farewell to the iconic muscle car, with only around 300 finding their way to Canadian roads. Its powerful V8 delivers 900 hp on regular pump gas or 1,025 hp with E85, allowing it to launch down the quarter mile in just 8.91 seconds at 151.17 mph.

What’s your take: will some brave soul attempt to resurrect this Dodge, or is it destined for the scrap heap, to be cannibalized for parts?
