- Vehicles used in takeovers like these are often stolen and trashed shortly after.
- Participants at this sideshow were captured jumping on the car and kicking the windshield.
Shocking footage has emerged out of the U.S. that shows several teens jumping on and destroying a Chevrolet Camaro Convertible during what appears to be an illegal street takeover.
This video was shared on Instagram and looks to have been filmed near a major intersection that was overrun by young people. In the background, screeching tires can be heard, and tire smoke can be seen, and within just a matter of seconds, the black Camaro is trashed. The incident demonstrates how reckless those often participating in takeovers like these have become.

Teens are seen jumping on the hood of the Chevy, badly denting it before kicking in the windshield. Others are shown jumping up and down on the rear decklid, while some kick the doors and quarter panels, trying to cause as much damage as possible. At one point, someone with a knife punctures the front tire while another violently swings open the driver’s side door. One individual even tags the side of the muscle car with a white marker.
Based on the fact that one of the car’s rear tires has been completely shredded, leaving it to ride on the rim, there’s a good chance this Camaro was doing donuts and burnouts through the intersection before the reckless participants decided they’d had their fun and wanted to ruin the car. Often, cars used in illegal street takeovers like these are stolen, and there’s a good chance this one has been stolen too.
Street takeovers like these have recently become a growing issue in the U.S. In April, participants at a takeover in Chicago were filmed stepping between a Ford Explorer police cruiser and a drifting Camaro to prevent cops from chasing down the Chevy. Spectators at events like these are routinely hit and injured by cars participating, and cars are frequently trashed.
