The GMC Hummer EVs are wonderfully ridiculous, but they’re not nearly as cool as the original Hummer H1. That’s where North American Electric Vehicles (NAEV) comes in as they’ve unveiled a new H1 electromod.
Cringingly called the Executive Edition Cyber-Hummer, the model features an all-aluminum body as well as 20-inch wheels that are wrapped in 37-inch all-terrain tires. NAEV didn’t say much else about the design changes, but the model appears to be equipped with LED headlights, auxiliary lights, and a new front bumper with some rather sad looking recovery points.

Speaking of sad, the interior is pretty bare bones as there isn’t much besides a Momo steering wheel and a 15.1-inch display. However, the company said the SUV will have a “state-of-the-art sound system” as well as vegan leather and seating for up to six people.
On the performance front, the model has a dual-motor all-wheel drive system developing 1,000 hp (746 kW / 1,014 PS). The company claims this will enable the Hummer to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds.
Power is provided by a “Level 3 Tesla battery,” which is said to deliver a range of up to 300 miles (483 km). NAEV went on to say the model supports NACS and CCS charging, and is equipped with a Tesla-sourced regenerative braking system.
Additional information is limited, but the company said the Cyber-Hummer has a modern independent suspension that is fully adjustable. The model also has 15 inches (381 mm) of ground clearance as well as “off-road-calibrated traction programming.”
The Executive Edition Cyber-Hummer is slated to go into production this summer and cost $139,900. The company also has plans for more affordable Baja ($98,900) and Commander ($119,900) variants.
The Baja is slated to have 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS) and a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of five seconds flat. The Commander doubles the output to 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS), while cutting the dash to 60 mph (96 km/h) to 3.5 seconds.
While a number of questions remain, the company is accepting reservations for a $300 deposit.
