• A rare Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake has hit the auction block.
  • Only 99 were made, with just 11 examples imported into the United States.
  • Powering the rare Aston Martin is 580 hp 5.9-liter naturally-aspirated V12.

When Aston Martin and Zagato join forces, magic happens, and so when the two collaborated to build the limited-run Vanquish Zagato Coupe, Convertible, Speedster, and Shooting Brake models, it came as no surprise the cars were among the finest-looking creations on four wheels.

Of the four versions produced, we’ve always been particularly fond of the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake. It was capped at 99 units worldwide, and the number 26 car is currently up for sale. It is one of just 11 imported to the U.S. and has 3,300 miles (5,310 km) on the clock. Despite the car’s rarity and staggeringly good looks, the used market hasn’t been particularly kind to these cars.

This model had an original MSRP of $877,916, a staggering figure. The most recent Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake that we’re aware of to sell in the U.S. was a white example sold through Bring a Trailer two years ago, fetching $525,000.

This Aston is painted in Scorching Black and has a clean Florida title. It will be sold with the owner’s manual, service records, an Aston Martin-branded umbrella, and a car cover. It has been equipped with a paint protection film across the hood, fenders, rocker panels, mirror caps, and front bumper, and sits on 20-inch alloy wheels.

A peek inside the cabin shows heated and ventilated seats trimmed in Pure Black and Sahara Tan Bridge of Weir leather. Several unique touches were made to the Vanquish Zagato, including quilted ‘Z’ patterns on the seat backs and bolsters. It also has a steering wheel similar to the one found in the Aston Martin One-77.

Power comes courtesy of a 5.9-liter naturally-aspirated V12 with 580 hp and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels with a limited-slip differential.

If you have some cash to splash and are interested in this Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, head on over to Bring a Trailer. As of the time of writing, the auction has 6 days left, with the highest bid currently sitting at $300,000.
