• Powering the car is an Audi-sourced 4.2-liter naturally aspirated V8.
  • This very C8 Laviolette was displayed by Spyker at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.
  • The car has been owned by a U.S. enthusiast since 2020.

This 2008 Spyker C8 Laviolette is thought to be the lowest-mileage example on earth and at RM Sotheby’s sales event at Monterey Car Week in August, it will cross the auction block and may sell for as much as $550,000.

Spyker launched the original C8 Laviolette in 2001, and this model is chassis number 182. It’s bathed in Black Olive Green and is the car Spyker displayed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Following its public debut, it was sold to a private buyer who drove it for less than 60 km (~37 miles).

Watch: Driving The Spyker C8 Is One Hell Of An Experience

The listing reveals the C8 was found by Spyker expert Jasper den Dopper in 2020 and purchased by an enthusiast in the U.S. Den Dopper performed a full service and fitted a new leather-wrapped steering wheel. He also retrimmed the seats in leather sourced from Spyker’s original upholsterer and believes “this is the cleanest and lowest mileage Spyker C8 Laviolette in the world.”

After the U.S. buyer took delivery of the car, it was displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum and will be sold with two pieces of matching Spyker luggage. It has fewer than 125 km (~78 miles) on the clock, and while the car’s design is more than 20 years old, it still looks relatively modern.

Powering the sports car is a 4.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 from Audi with 395 hp. While that figure may not sound like much today, it’s still plenty of power for a lightweight, rear-wheel drive sports car with a six-speed manual transmission.

The interior of this C8 Laviolette looks brilliant. Tan leather adorns the seats, transmission tunnel, and door panels, while exposed aluminum is found across the dashboard and is used for the shifter.

Anyone interested in owning this piece of Spyker history should head over to the RM Sotheby’s listing for more details.
